At Bales & Moo, a trip to the farm is about so much more than simply seeing the animals. We’ve created a hands-on experience where kids can get up close with the herd, burn off some energy, learn something new, and experience a little piece of farm life along the way.

Wander the farm and meet an ever-growing herd of traditional farm favorites and some animals you might not expect to find in West Virginia. From fluffy Highland cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, and donkeys to emus, wallabies, peacocks, pheasants, a tortoise, and more — there’s always someone waiting to meet you.

And when the kids are ready to play, the fun is just getting started.

Climb aboard our tractor and wagon playset, dig into the sand and corn pits, challenge the family to a game of cornhole, and explore the games, activities, and play spaces scattered throughout the farm. Whether your little one wants to spend the afternoon making animal friends or could happily dig in the corn pit for hours, there’s plenty here to keep the whole family busy.

We designed Bales & Moo to be a place where you don’t have to rush. Stay awhile. Explore. Play. Ask questions. Get a little dirty. Feed an animal. Learn something you didn’t know before. And most importantly, enjoy some uninterrupted time together.

Because around here, the best days usually end with dirty shoes, tired kids, and a whole lot of stories to tell on the ride home.
